New Hinksey School Association
Raises funds for the school through fun activities:
The association is a committee of parent volunteers whose aim is to organise fundraising events for the school community to raise money to provide extra resources for the school
The New Hinksey School Association works together with teachers and children for the benefit of the community as a whole. We are keen for as many parents as possible to be involved. We put on events such as the Summer Fete, Christmas Bazaar, school disco and quiz nights which offer an opportunity for the community to get together whilst raising funds for the school.
How we support the school:
Through fundraising we contribute towards resources for the school. Items we have bought in the past include a sound system with a microphone, digital video cameras for children to use in class, playground equipment, books and other classroom resources. Money raised also subsidies school trips and attending events such as the Festival of Voices.
The Association can only thrive with support from as many parents as possible who can give some time to help support the various fundraising events. This could include running a stall at the fete or bazaar, finding some raffle prizes, selling raffle tickets or helping with ideas for future events.
