As the church started the school back in the 19th century, St John’s is still privileged to provide various governors to this day to assist the flourishing of the school today. As the Parish Priest of South with New Hinksey I am privileged to not only live in this beautiful part of town, but be available for anyone who lives, works, and worships in this area. I lead daily church services (on Sundays at 10.45am at St John’s opposite school, all are most welcome - very much including children, unbelievers and newcomers!), provide pastoral care, and am generally available to anyone for a chat. On the topic of chats: I have a funny accent! I combine my Danish birth and Dutch upbringing with the influence of my stunning American wife and four lovely children all born in this country. I greatly enjoy taking assemblies at school and in church, and am the lead governor for SIAMS, Attendance, and the governor contact for Complaints. It is my hope and prayer that all may flourish at New Hinksey.
